Iron Horse Touring

We believe in safety first! We have taken safety classes to be sure that we are riding safely. We encourage proper safety gear, including helmets. If we are in a state that does not have a helmet law we won't make you wear it but we will certainly encourage it.

1 and 2 day tours

With the 1 and 2 day tours there will be a guide leading the tour. If there are 8 or more riders there will be a chase vehicle at the end of the pack. We encourage every rider to ride his or her own ride. The person at the end of the pack is there to allow that to happen so nobody feels as though they are being left behind. We do not want anyone to feel any pressure to keep up with the group. We understand that every person may be at a different skill level of riding. These tours are designed so the most experienced rider and the brand new rider can both just have a lot of fun! No worries about getting left behind. You ride at the pace and level your comfortable with. Both the lead and chase vehicle are very familiar with the tour routes and at each stop we will get every one back together. On these tours we will also stop every 45 to 60 minutes (when possible) to allow for a comfortable ride. We understand that not all of us have an iron butt and may need to stop and stretch for a few minutes. Each stop (except for lunch) will be 10 to 15 minutes. On each day tour at least two of the stops will be at a place that is equipped with gasoline and restrooms.

These tours will include lunch with the price of the tour.

There will be a 1 or 2-day tour scheduled every Saturday. For details on which tour is scheduled for what Saturday please visit our Tour Calender Page. These tours can be scheduled on any other available day during the week but require a 30 day notice. You can book a tour as 1 person however if 5 people or more are not scheduled on that day either your money will be refunded or you can change it to another scheduled tour date. Also, for the 1-day tours, if you would like to come the night before the tour just let us know. We can suggest lodging (Hotel or Camping, whichever you prefer) and provide contact numbers.

Upon receiving your registration in the mail we will email or US mail a map and turn-by-turn directions from your house to the starting point of the tour.

Vacation Tours (5 to 8 Days)

With the "Vacation Tours" the same as above applies. The only difference is on every tour, regardless of the amount of riders there will be a chase vehicle. That vehicle will have room for a passenger in case someone needs a break. We will also be towing a trailer with an extra motorcycle in case some ones motorcycle breaks down. We don't want your vacation to end due to mechanical difficulties. There will be room in the chaser vehicle for each rider to have 2 bags for your personal belongings so the only worry is getting to the starting point.
